Summary
The Power System State Estimator app processes the files you choose entirely on your device. It does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal information. It has no servers.
1. About this app
Power System State Estimator (package
com.power.system.state.estimator) is a mobile engineering
utility that lets the user:
- Visualise IEEE Common Data Format (CDF) load-flow case files as single-line diagrams.
- Run AC Weighted-Least-Squares state estimation on a network file plus a measurement file, and review the full numerical pipeline output.
The app is published by Cursory Solutions, the "we / us / our" referenced throughout this policy.
2. What information we collect
None. The app does not collect any personal information, device identifiers, location, contacts, photos, or usage analytics.
3. Files you open in the app
When you select an IEEE CDF file (.txt / .dat)
or a measurement file (.dat) using the in-app file picker,
the app reads that file's contents only into device memory
for processing and on-screen rendering. We do not:
- Upload the file or its contents to any server.
- Copy the file to a different location on your device.
- Retain the file contents after you close the app.
- Share the file with any third party.
The file picker is provided by Android's Storage Access Framework. The app holds only a temporary read handle to the file you selected and releases it when the analysis completes.
4. Permissions
The app requests no runtime permissions. It does not access:
- Camera, microphone, or photos / media library.
- Location (precise or approximate).
- Contacts, calendar, call logs, or SMS.
- Body sensors, health data, or activity recognition.
- The internet (the app makes no network requests).
5. Children's privacy
The app is a technical engineering utility and is not directed at children under 13. Because the app does not collect personal information from anyone, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children either.
6. Third-party libraries
The app is built with open-source Android libraries (AndroidX, Material Components, Kotlin Coroutines) and the numerical library EJML for linear-algebra operations. These libraries are bundled at build time and run locally on your device; none of them transmits data on the app's behalf.
7. Security
Because nothing leaves your device, the security of your data depends on your device's own security model. We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and using a screen lock.
8. Changes to this policy
If the app's behaviour ever changes in a way that affects this policy (for example, if a future version adds optional cloud features), this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Material changes will also be noted in the Google Play release notes.
9. Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, export, or delete on your behalf. If you uninstall the app, no residual data remains with us — because none was ever sent to us in the first place.
