This circuit is designed and simulated in Proteus 7.10. This is the basic circuit of a transistor. The working of this circuit is given below. 1. To understand this circuit you, should know about how transistor works. 2. Transistor, as its name suggest that transformation of resistor. 3. In this circuit, initially the switch is open and transistor is OFF (zero logic), it means resistance of transistor is maximum and current flows through LED because current always follow low resistance path, so the LED is ON (1 logic). 4. When the switch is closed, the transistor will turn ON (1 logic), when transistor is fully ON its resistance is minimum. Therefore, current flows through transistor instead of LED because the current always follow low resistance path, so the LED will off (zero logic). 5. In this circuit we have seen the basic resistance transformation property of transistor. Application 1. This circuit has lot of applications, you will see this logic in many electronic circuits. 2.
