Single Input Not Gate

Category: Logic Gates

Notes

This circuit is designed and simulated in Proteus 7.10. In this circuit you will learn how to make NOT gate practically. 1. This is a single input NOT gate circuit. 2. The truth table of NOT gate is: Input : Output 0 : 1 1 : 0 3. From the above truth table we can see that if input of NOT gate is logic zero (0) then output is logic one (1). 4. The output is logic zero (0) when input is logic one (1). 5. Here logic one (1) means 5V or VCC and logic zero (0) means 0V or ground. Application: 1. This circuit can be used as inverting buffer. 2. This circuit can be used as Not gate. 3. This circuit can be used as voltage level shift. Download these files to perform more experiments.
