Notes

This circuit is designed and simulated in Proteus but can be simulated in any other software. This circuit shows how Wien Bridge Oscillator works. The Wien Bridge is one of the simplest and best oscillator for audio frequency sinewave oscillator of high stability and simplicity. The circuit is based on a frequency selective form of the Wheatstone bridge circuit. 1. This circuit is made using audio operational amplifier LM358. Other op-amps can also be used for example LM741. 2. This circuit uses both inverting and non-inverting feedback. 3. The resistor RV1 is used for tuning the output wave of Wien Bridge oscillator. 4. The basic formula used is f = 1/(2*pi*R*C), where C = C2 = C3 R = R1 = R3 5. The working of the circuit is shown in animation. 6. The frequency and gain are adjustable. 7. Frequency can be changed by changing the capacitor. 8. Download these files for more experiments. Applications: 1. This circuit can be used as audio testing. 2. This circuit can also be used as clock signals for testing filter circuits. 3. Can be used in distortion testing for power amplifiers. Note: More circuits will be coming soon, stay tuned.
