UC3525 Push-Pull Driver Test Circuit
Category: Switch Mode Power Supplies (SMPS)
Designer: RANA MUHAMMAD ADNAN KHALIL
Notes
This circuit is designed and simulated in Proteus 8.17. 1. UC3525 is a Puls Width Modulator, normally used for Push-Pull application. 2. This is not a complete circuit. It is just a test circuit for UC3525/SG3525 push-pull driver. 3. Few components are needed to test the IC. 4. It is recommended to make a test jig for IC testing. 5. Before using this IC in a complete circuit, first understand its functionality. 6. The pin 6 (RT) is Timing resistor connection pin for oscillator frequency programming. 7. The pin 5 (CT) is Timing capacitor connection pin for oscillator frequency programming. The timing capacitor should be connected to the device ground using minimal trace length. 8. The pin 8 is Soft-start input pin. 9. The pin 9 is Output of the error amplifier for compensation. 10. The pin 1 and 2 is inverting and non-inverting input of error amplifier respectively. 11. The pin 10 is Shutdown. Pull this pin high to shut down PWM output. 12. The pin 7 is Discharge pin. A single resistor between CT and the discharge terminals provides dead-time adjustment. 13. Th pin 4 is oscillator frequency output. 14. The pin 11 and 12 are outputs. 15. Download and run these files for more understanding. Note. More circuits of UC3525 will be coming soon. Stay with us.
